The door was fitted with an ERA multipoint locking mechanism that had developed a gearbox fault. A small internal component had broken, preventing the door from locking securely.

ERA door lock gearbox replacement
We attended the property the same day. After inspecting the lock mechanism, we confirmed that the centre gearbox had failed.
Our mobile workshop already had the correct ERA replacement parts. So, we removed the faulty gearbox and fitted a replacement.
This restored the door to full working order. We didn’t need to replace the complete multipoint mechanism or the composite door.
