Side uPVC Door Stuck Shut for Several Months

SF Locksmiths Barnsley attended a property in Gawber S75 where a side uPVC door had been stuck shut for several months.

The door was badly misaligned, making it difficult to close. Repeatedly forcing it shut put too much strain on the multipoint locking mechanism. Eventually, the original Fuhr gearbox failed.

Using specialist locksmith techniques, we opened the stuck door and identified the faulty Fuhr 35mm gearbox.

We fitted a genuine replacement gearbox, then realigned the door. This involved adjusting its position within the frame and checking that the locking mechanism worked smoothly without force.

The door now closes easily, locks correctly and seals properly against the frame.
